This is a great set. I bought a triple weight set with this one and the pieces are definitely heavier. As many have complained, the board does stink. I just aired it out in my garage over night and it was fine. The pieces are surprisingly large. They fit in the board squares just fine though. My boys (5 and 3) love playing with them. The queens are very sharp, stabbed myself through the plastic bag. I took a file and sanded them down a bit and they are fine.
