Lifesaver! My dog was miserable with the cone and comfy cone post neutering. It was worse for him than the pain from surgery. The donut pillow was a little better but German Shepherd have long snouts and he could still get at the incision. The Suitical made a world of difference, like night and day. Much more tolerated, only a pain to have to roll up every time he needed to use to potty. At 9 months old, 67lbs, and 32" from neck to tail, the XL was just barely long enough. It was a bit loose around, but not really an issue. Now I wish they could make a version with a pee and poop hole, though i realize this may defeat the purpose for some dogs needs.

i understand that dog cloths are almost never an exact fit but this thing is pretty wonky! It fits my german shepherd perfectly in terms of length, But it hangs off his body so loosely that it doesn't do its job (keeping him from scratching)! Also, the neck covering portion keeps sliding down to his shoulders, i was constantly pulling it back up. One size down would definitely be too short on him.

Jake is a 12lb male Shi Tzu.
I knee the cone of shame was not a good option for Jake after neutering, so I got the inflatable cone for him.
After some research, I came across the Suitical here on Amazon. I am so pleased with the construction and quality of the Suitical!
I read other reviews regarding sizing, and it is true,a bit difficult to gauge the right size with the measurement guide. I originally ordered a Size M for Jake, but had to return it. Turns out that Size XXS ended up being the perfect fit for him. He is so comfortable! And most importantly, is unable to lick his stitches.

Perfect for post-surgery to prevent dog from licking or tearing out stitches. Not difficult to use if you take the time to figure it out before you put it on the dog. After having our dog neutered, we would undo the snaps and fasten the underside so he could go outside to pee. When he came back in, we would put a package of frozen peas into the inner pouch, fasten the suitical back up and put the dog in his crate so he would lay down on the "ice pack" peas. Set the timer for 15 minutes, remove the ice pack and repeat several times a day. It helped greatly with keeping the swelling down. The suitical is breathable, too, so it covered the incision but still let it get air to it. And yes, we threw out the peas when we were done!

This worked okay for our year old German Shepherd after her spay surgery. She's on the small side, so the Large fit perfectly. Our vet was not a fan of the suit because she said it didn't allow enough air for the incision to heal and she thought it held in too much moisture which caused an infection at the incision. But it definitely kept our dog from pulling out her staples. I would buy this again but just wouldn't leave it on our dog as often as we did.
