Works Great as a bufffer for hot items on a wooden table

These are perfect for putting under a bowl of soup on a wood table so it will not damage the table. They are also small enough for me to leave on my kitchen counter without looking bad or taking up too much space. Others have said they can be used to get hot items out of the oven but I have not been successful using them like that. I tried but it was very cumbersome to try and fold these and keep them folded and grab the hot item. I could not swing it so I am still using my oven mitts which work much better for this task. However, they are great for sitting under hot dishes on a wood table. I will probably buy a couple more for that reason!

I bought the 2pk of the Dark Grey color. I have used these a few times so far and they work perfectly fine for me! I saw in other reviews that people had burns on their hands, but I see no design flaws here. All hot pads/pot holders have a hole to hang them up with. If you know the hole is already there, then you shouldn't get burned. I use them as hot pads, not potholders because I use an actual over mitt for that. These silicone mats are easy to hang and store when not in use. As you can see in my pictures, the pot fits perfectly on the mat! I will update my review if I have any problems, but so far I am very pleased with my purchase & product!

I realize my trivets were lost (they might have been donated, IDK) during our kitchen renovation and I needed some before I start cooking. I didn't want to just get the traditional cork boards, wood, or metal trivets (all of which I had and lost), so I search in Amazon for something nice. This caught my eye and I like that it has multiple uses.
After receiving it, I put it to use right away. I cooked several dishes and placed my hot pans on my new counter with this trivet. It held up nicely, kept my quartz counters from any damages, and used it as my spoon rest & pot holder. Best of all, it's flexible that I can fold it and tuck it in my small drawers and light enough that I can hang it on my metal back splash with a magnet. I purchased similar product from another brand which was cheaper and gave 5 instead of 2 but the quality is definitely different. This product is much thicker, feels better and seems stronger despite it being flexible. I do see myself using this more as a trivet for my cooking and possibly use the other brand as a pot holder or spoon rest.

Heat resistant for kitchen counter tops. Not easy to actually use as pot holders to remove things from oven. They are not flexible enough to use as pot holders. But can be used as trivets.

They're exactly what I need in my kitchen for sure. But I also found an additional purpose for them. My PC & related electronics are plugged into a power-strip that sits on a tabletop so I can easily reach them in spite of being handicapped. Some of them are quite hot. The wood tabletop is very old and does not receive much preservation attention :( I got these silicone trivets/hot-pads to protect the old wood from the heat. I placed 2 squares next to each other on my tabletop, forming an insulated area under the power-strip. The gray ones fit right in with my neutral color scheme too :)
