First set lasted a long time till i knocked it in the water. This set claims to be waterproof, but the red light quit working yesterday so I removed it from the silicone case and is all corroded inside where batteries are. I bought another set about a month ago for my spare boat so will use the red from that set. A great light for those mornings when your nav lights decide not to work. Wish it would have lasted longer.

I have a small inflatable pontoon boat (a Colorado XT) and needed some navigation lights for my nighttime outings. Not wanting to hard-wire the lights to my trolling motor battery, I saw these Bright Eyes lights as a possible solution so I ordered a set of red and green lights and a pack of two white lights. Prompt service from Always Quality Plus Products had them delivered when promised.

The silicone loops fit nicely around my 1-1/8" OD frame tubes using the included loop clip and they look like they would fit around tubes from 1 inch to about 1-1/2 in diameter. The hard plastic light module itself fits inside the flexible silicone sheath and is not sealed watertight, but it does shed splashes and mist pretty well. The four position switch toggles from a rapid blink, to a slower blink, to steady on, and back to off. They came with batteries installed, as well as a pair of extra CR2032 button batteries for each light, which was a nice surprise!

My first encounter with my local marine police boat went quite well (Southern Alabama, USA). He congratulated me on wearing my PFD, cautioned me about my hip waders and said he was fine with the port and starboard lights, but wanted me to have a different stern light. I had put the white lights in back near the trolling motor, but he said I needed a white light with 360 degree visibility mounted higher than the other lights. Now I have my 360 anchor light, and use the two white Bright Eyes lights aimed inward to help me change lures at night.

These lights have worked out perfectly for me and I will order a backup set to keep as spares.
Safety on the water
JB Oceanside CANovember 20, 2016
These are great for my dinghy when I fish for lobster at night. Other boaters can see me and avoid a collision. Its added safety for even the smallest boat. On and off switch works great. So far water does not affect them. Bright as well. Although not required on boats less than 23 feet, my boat goes over 22 mph. So I am adding these lights for additional safety. Other boaters like them and they look cool. Thanks

Very clever alternative to rewiring an older boat or replacing damaged or inoperative lights. Less expensive than replacing old fixtures and problems with old wiring.
Great for Kayaking
Tony HermanJuly 22, 2016
They clip on to my kayak easily, they're bright (almost too bright - they attract mosquitos at night) and they have a few modes. I like the steady "on" mode without blinking since you don't see other boats with blinking lights. Having them steadily on makes the most sense.
