This is my second whip. The first one was well used by my 5 year old autistic grandchild who absolutely loves it.
It is nice but not as dramatic as I hoped

I bought this for lightpainting.. It is nice but not as dramatic as I hoped. I bought GloFX space sabers and they are much more bold and vivid. Both are quality products. These are not toys but substantial devices that seem like they will last for a long time.
Nice Whip But Some Things To Be Aware Of.

Very cool product but not what we were expecting. The fibers GloFX uses are very thick and do not flow well at all. The thicker strands i'm sure make it more acceptable to abuse then some of the other brands but makes it harder to use and you can't use the same techniques. The other disappointment was that while it does have a fast and a slow flashing mode, it does not have a strobe effect. That being said, This thing looks AMAZING in the dark (See attached video of my Wife playing with it). We were going to return this one but decided to keep it anyway and just purchase the Ant's On A Mellon - BitWhip also which reviews say has a much thinner and smoother flowing strand-set and also has a strobe mode, not to mention $50 less then this one.
This will come to festivals with us for sure but i have a feeling the smaller and smoother flowing BitWhip will get more use, we will see once that one arrives and we have a chance to compare them.
