I finally got an engine warning light and a rear brake warning light on my 2011 BMW F10. This scanner cannot reset either for an F10. only for the E models. I discovered this after the no return period. The description says it works for BMW F-10.
I tried to follow the instructions to update software and I get different menus from what it shows on the manual and cannot update it freezes each time I try.
If seller reads this I would appreciate a refund.

Please read the add carefully, I was trying very hard to get the tool I needed to clear the faulty airbag light and it looked as though this tool would do it, but it will only clear codes...NOT RESET THE MESSAGE in the message center. This is a good scan tool, though the user interface is clunky and not very intuitive. I would not return it, but I will include it with the car when I sell it, the other thing I found is that this tool is only made for the BMW, not other cars...I was mislead on this as well. Lastly, I do not like how you have to clear one code at a time, I have another bluetooth code tool (real cheap) that can batch delete all codes quickly, I prefer that over hunting down one code at a time and selecting it, then clearing the code, then refreshing by hitting the back button to see if your codes are clear...overall experience is a meh, but it is not a terrible tool either.

Believe the positive reviews! I recently experienced a flat battery and returned to my local Advance Auto Parts to redeem a replacement battery under warranty. The counter person asked if they could test my battery and alternator on my 2006 X3 and I consented. Big mistake because after they removed their test gear I suddenly had an SRS (airbag) instrument panel light go on. (Coincidentally--or not--I remember the identical scenario about three years ago when I had a battery problem.) My previous experience with an SRS light was to take the car to the dealer and being told I needed an airbag replacement for $1,000. Not this time because I did my research on BMW blogs and read about this scanner, the Creator 310+. Within moments it recognized the code and cleared it. Seriously, less than two minutes to remedy the problem. MUCH better than being told by the dealer that the airbag needed replacement. Hoping the remedy lasts.

I have a 2004 330ci coupe and had a Service Engine Soon and Airbag Light on. I received this scanner and literally bypassed the instructions, plugged it in, ran diags and found my problems within minutes. I reseated a cable for the sevice code and recognized the Airbag code was due to previous repairs and did not reset. I was able to delete all codes, restarted the car and the annoying dash lights were gone. I asked the shop to run the codes for me when they changed my oil and they said it would be a couple hundred bucks just to hook the car up for diagnostics. I immediately ordered this tool and I am happy to report that it saved me time, money and gave me a piece of mind knowing exactly what was wrong with my car. Very easy to use.

Worked fine to clear my airbag light. I changed the window regulator, I thought I was careful to make sure I didn't have the battery connected without the airbag connected, but I got the light when I was done. I bought the scanner and was unable to clear the code. I figured I messed up the airbag or the connector. Luckily I was able to get a new airbag and connector at a local junkyard. After splicing in another connector I was able to clear the code. To splice the connector I soldered in and used heat shrink. So moral of the story, if you can't clear the code with this tool, you probably have a bad connector.
