I ordered the Amara Organics Aloe Vera gel because I needed it in an organic natural body butter recipe I was making, & it worked really well.

Then I decided to try it as a natural facial moisturizer. I have mild psoriasis & it was beginning to appear on my cheeks. They were very red patches with tiny bumps & quite dry. Nothing I tried worked, not even the cream from the doctor. I didn't want to use commercial facial moisturizers any more & coconut oil wasn't helping.

I decided to try using the Amara organic aloe gel instead. It doesn't have an odor or color & is very light to the touch. It felt wonderful & soothing on my face, but it wasn't enough moisturizer for my skin. (Note: Just before it's dry it will feel very sticky/tacky. Stop rubbing & give it a minute. It dries quickly & thats when the wonderful starts.)

One day I had the idea to add one drop of Ameo's true lavender essential oil to the gel to see if it would enhance the moisturizing & calm the psoriasis, but I was worried the smell would be quite strong on my face. Well, I worried for nothing. After applying it, within minutes my face started to feel wonderfully soothed, & silky soft, & the oil smelled amazing!

The combination of Ameo's essential oil & the Amara organic aloe gel is truly fantastic! It's now the only thing I will use on my face. After one week the bumps & dryness were gone & my cheeks now have a soft rosy glow, not angry red splotches. My friends noticed right away & said my skin was looking great. It feels so soft & silky that I keep petting my face. Silly I know, but it's true.

This product will forever be a must have in my home. I use it as a light hand moisturizer, after I've toweled off after showering to feel silky soft, after being in the sun (even without a sunburn), or anytime I want a little soothing & moisturizing for any part of my skin. It's also awesome for insect bites! This is definitely one of the best all around, multiuse products on the market!

I've been a customer of Amara Beauty for over 2 years. I have bought from them directly but the convenience of Amazon got me. I would like to buy from them direct again soon. They have the highest quality and best aloe in tbe market. I did my research on the highest potency of aloe and 2 years ago it was Amara and most likely is still them. I use witch hazel and alone on my skin for my night routine. 😌

I was in some desperate pain with hyper skin sensitivity from chemotherapy and a bilateral mastectomy. Even light clothing hurt. I declined a serious medication for nerve pain that my surgeon offered because it had 12 pages of warnings. Another breast cancer survivor shared how aloe gel had helped her and I remembered I had purchased and forgotten (chemo brain) this product for my arsenal against cancer. Wow"¦this offered help with the first application. I used it liberally all over my chest and everywhere that I had dry sensitive skin immediately after showering. I tried to use it 2-3 times a day. (And when I could tolerate something heavier, I added Aquaphor ointment. And search "thermal water" also very helpful for hydrating between showers.) This has a very light scent from the natural aloe, NO ADDED fragrance! It's thinner than others I've tried in the past and I like that. It seemed to absorb much better. It feels very pure and natural. Everyone is different. I also have fibromyalgia. It took 6 weeks after surgery before I was no longer in pain every day. If you're going through something similar, stay strong and never give up. You have prayers and support from people you don't even know, like me, even though we'll never meet :) Take the support others offer and give it back to someone else when you're stronger. Stronger together!

I bought this aloe a little over a week ago and I can already say it's worked wonders! I'm 19 and have very sensitive, dry skin that's super prone to breakouts. I've tried every product imaginable and they all either have no effect on my breakouts or burn when I apply them. I read up on aloe and it's healing properties and thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so happy that I did! As of recently, I got a large cluster of pimples on my cheek, as well as some scattered around the rest of my face. By applying the aloe after washing my face in the morning and right before bed, it's really helped to lessen my acne and fade some old acne marks. It's still a work in progress, but most of my active acne is now gone and I simply have to worry about the red marks left behind. I have hope that this will clear all of them up. I attached some photos comparing the first night I applied the aloe to the ones I took today (a week later)

A few things to note are the smell and consistency. Having never used real aloe before, I'm not sure what the actual smell should be, but this aloe has a really strong one that's not particularly appealing. I've gotten used to it after using it quite often, and when it's on the face you cannot smell it, but I was a little concerned when I first opened the bottle. Also, this is not your typical aloe gel. It's much more of a liquid than a gel, so it gets absorbed by the skin nicely and is easy to spread. The price may seem a bit high, but a little truly goes a long way with this product.

My final note is actually the reason I gave the product four stars instead of five. For some odd reason, this aloe dried out my face a bit. I saw some people say that they use this as a primer for makeup or apply it instead of their moisturizer, but personally, I have found that my skin is a bit drier after applying than it usually is. Not to the point where it flakes, but just enough to make a noticeable difference.

I never thought I'd find a product that helped to reduce my acne, and this is a lifesaver! I will definitely be repurchasing. If you're on the fence about whether or not to invest in this product, I 100% say that you should give it a chance. I didn't have much hope at first but after reading the reviews and trying it myself, I've found that this aloe is all it's hyped up to be.
