Works good when it doesn't jam.

I'll fall inline with others, has jammed a few times.

I have only used a few times so far, but encounter two jams so far. After the second jam, I unloaded and fired empty many, many times to "clear the path". Again, limited usage, but seems like it worked better afterwards.

I'd suggest firing off a bunch of blank shots before loading it with anything. No idea if it makes it better or not, but it can't hurt.

Also, like someone else said, there is no safety on this gun(which I like). But be careful if "outsiders" are in your workshop.
Wish i had bought this years ago!

I wanted to give it 5 stars, but just couldnt, but i love it totally. The subtract for the 5th star? Unlike every quality finish nail gun and cabinet stapler [i am an accomplished cabinet maker working only in solid hardwoods]- there are NO markings on the tip so you know exactly where your shooting the V nail. Yes it comes with a "V" alignment footing [those weird V shaped feet on the bottom of the tool you see on their listing] but those are not height adjustable and extends down a full 1 inch from the surface of what you want to V nail!!!

so if you making a small frame [or anything less than an inch thick] like pic 1, 2 and 3, the V foot alignment accessory is absolutely worthless. So you have to "freehand" the nail placement"¦ and without any markings on the tip"¦ well see Pic 2. The nails sank perfect in hardwood cherry anyway"¦ and very strong fastener"¦ but the tip of the V is not aligned in the seam which is the professional way to do it.

The V foot accessory did work perfectly on the 7 inch valence mentioned below [pic 5 and pic 6]

So much for the negatives - i still rated it a 4 because its friggin awesome. I used it on a 7" tall vertical blinds valence [pics 5 and 6]- in hard wood cherry. Bam! perfect. And i made the small 12x12 frame as a test case. For practice i made a test frame [pic 1 and pic 4] to see how deep the v-nail went. 3/4 inch piece of cherry routed [moulded] down to a min of 3/8th of an inch. I broke the test apart to see what the tool does and how deep it goes - pic 4.

Great tool and i will figure out a way to mark the tip to know exactly where i am shooting the nail. I know i am gunna get a ton of use out of this thing!

This thing is absolutely awesome. I have made a number of picture frame and the v nails actually draw the joint close together. The item is well build and feels very sturdy. The instructions are kind of lacking but it is easy enough to figure out the loading of the v nails. Shoots them plenty deep and straight.
Works great!

I bought the hi end Logan nailer to start my new hobby. Worked but a serious pain! And it was very bad for narrow stock. This nailer works great. Much more flexible in placement of the v nails. I was concerned because people said it would not seat the V nails. I have had no problem whatsoever. I have only used it a few times. I will update if there is a problem but so far it is perfect and far, far easier than the Logan tool. Also way more flexible.
So far, the industrial quality seems to match the sales pitch.

I've had a frame shop for about twenty five years, and have joined frames of every wood hardness, as well as frame sizes, imaginable. You must develop a variety of joining methods for these two criteria, Vnail assembly is simply one method of joining. You should not use it on a 6' x 8' large moulding frame, nor would you use for a 6"x 8" thin moulding frame. That said. since I recieved this "meite," framing has become less tedious .This pneumatic vnailer works beautifully. It"s small, quick, and versitile. Doesn't need a dedicated work station. Seems reliable. May put some manufacturers out of business?
