Gummed pad of 11x17 maps, perfect for tracking USA elections. Also great for classroom use, because states and capitals are drawn but not labeled. Paper easily accepted pencils & colored pencils (which also erased cleanly), gel & liquid gel pens, ballpoints, colored markers, & highlighters. I didn't try crayons. The map itself did not smear, erase, or bleed, no matter what writing instruments I used. There is also a smaller USA map on the back of each sheet.

I am using these for the kids to write in all the states that they have visited. Younger children can color the state they have been in and older children are drawing a picture of something they remember or something they did in the state.

This map is great for the beginning of the school year. I use this map with my fifth grade students asking them to fill in as much as they can (in pencil) before we review it together. It's a good start to what they already know versus what they need practice on. It is large and provides enough space for the states and capitals. we use this resource all year. A handy resource that kids enjoy!
