I bought several of these in October of 2017 from Amazon and they were $7.50-$8.50 each. Apparently they were such a hit that they then jacked up the prices. I like them, so far they are pretty darn good. I have some under some lighting at my office, i def find that if you rotate the tiers you will have better luck. The top row always seems to do the best. Really plant the seeds deep in the pockets and then layer your dirt, i had a fair amount of issues getting some plants to really root in and i think that was my issue.
I gave some out with plants already in them for X-mas and it was a big hit. I will do the same on Mothers day. Nothing beats fresh herbs for that special home cook.

Great for indoor herb garden

I started herbs from seeds and they are doing very well in this pot (see attached picture). I was concerned that the openings would be too small, but the plants have done well and are able to produce more than enough for cooking for our family. My only wish would be if you could get this same stacking style but with a slightly more upscale material than just plastic since it's rather prominent in my kitchen. But it doesn't look bad by any means. The plastic is heavy and durable.

I tried it with strawberries but the top always seemed to be more dry than the bottom. Next year I will use them for herbs on the top tier. I have parsley on the top and it likes it there a lot! The size is manageable for me to move when we need more sun. I would purchase this again!

I'm not quite sure how to rate this item. The quality is satisfactory, the price is pretty good.
-The biggest issue I've had is that the pieces just sit on top of each other so great care must be taken if it needs to be moved. As well, one must be extremely cautious that it does not get bumped - I've lost a couple of herb plantings this way (very cramped gardening space).
- As some of the herbs grow tall, they block other herbs from getting adequate sun. This can be mitigated somewhat with planning and pruning.
Overall, the piece is not defective, cheap or nonfunctional. I guess it just hasn't worked out too well for me. Just be aware of the issues I mentioned - they may not be of any consequence for your situation, but for those in cramped gardening conditions or with small children it might make a difference.

I had to move them away from where I had them because I went away on vacation (not the product fault) I like that even if I wanted to overwater it wouldn't work, because it will drop down to lower rack and the excess will be at the base.
Since it is a 3 tier only the middle tier stil needs some watering. However the excess you still give the top part will drain in the middle section of the system ( of that makes sense) because there is still cylinder type space from top to bottom. From my understanding that space can be used for a water pump type of irrigation system, which would provide more effective watering between the tiers. However this wasn't in my budjet at the moment.
Overall satisfied with the product and it's functionality, since I live in apartment complex and space is limited.
