This was a gift for my great grandson.
This model - a very personal experience.

It has been the most detailed model I've ever built! The engine has separate items - distributer, oil filter, ignition coil, etc. Some of the decals are microscopic. While it's somewhat difficult, I'm glad to spend the time working on it. And here's the reason.
When I got my license in 1968, my Dad purchased a new '68 F-100. While it was never mine, it was my primary means of transportation through 1977. My brother got it then. Then I got it back from him in 1982 and I kept it until 1985. Then when our older daughter got her license in 1993 I got it back again and she drove it until she finished high school in 1995 and we returned it to my brother again in 2001. I've been looking for a 1968 F-100 model for years. While this is a 1969, it's very much the same and I'm very grateful for Moebius having made it.
The only thing I dislike with this model is that the wheels will not roll. But then, since I'm not planning to play with it, it's okay.
