Got this for my son's birthday (he's only 8, sshh don't tell). He had a lot of fun putting it together. It was quite an ordeal, as this is one of the most complicated Bionicle-style LEGO sets I've ever seen, but he stuck with it and had fun. As usual, the kit comes with clear instructions.

The finished figure is pretty tall, maybe double the size of a regular Bionicle/hero-factory figure. This puts him at a relatively correct scale compared to the other figures in this line.

Unlike some other movie-licensed toys I've seen, this one feels durable, like it was made for a kid to play with, not for an adult to put on display. The lightsaber blades are slightly flexible, rubbery-type plastic rather than the brittle stuff you often see, so it will survive being bashed against other toys or children or whatever. The joints fit together with enough friction to stay where you put them.

Lego stuff is pricey compared to the knockoffs, but the quality shows.
Great gift!

This was my 9 yo nephew's favorite Christmas present. He loves Legos and Star Wars. He seems to own every Lego set there is out there, so this was something a little different, and I think that's what made him open and build it immediately after he unwrapped it!
More detailed than some of the other figures. A must have for fans!

Darth Vader is my third Star Wars Lego figure for my kids. In comparison between Jango Fett and Commander Cody, Vader is much more detailed. His kit has many more pieces. However, many of the pieces are used to make the frame of the body. On the clone trooper and Jango, there is an "H" piece that takes the place of many of the smaller components that Vader uses. The body pieces are where Vader shines. He has armor pieces on the back of his legs and his body pieces are much more detailed. I was a little disappointed with the level of detail on Jango and the clone trooper. Vader has the level of detail that I was looking for. My only disappointment is that the armor pieces stop Vader from being as movable and they make him look a little different. The other figures can be posed in more positions.
Pros:
"¢ Larger about 1 inch taller
"¢ More detailed body pieces
"¢ Back side of figure is more complete
Cons:
"¢ Not as posable - looks a little different

Darth Vader makes a great kit. I had to help my 6 year old daughter make him, but she can put the pieces back on that sometimes pop off. He can stand up to kid play. I would recommend him along with any of the other figures.
This is the best one. Period.

I have several of these figures and this has been the best one out of the ones that I have. The others came with a pre-made torso, but this one takes nearly 80 pieces just to build the dense torso. It feels like it was much more thought out and better quality than the rest in the lineup. I wish the others had the same build quality. I wouldn't mind paying the 10 dollars extra that this one cost to have the extra torso pieces. the other ones are still great though and I plan to try and collect them all! I attached a photo of Luke Skywalker getting a piggy back ride from his father lol
