I've been using Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for several weeks and I was afraid I'd have to pay full price for more at Sephora or Ulta. So I was very happy to find it on Amazon for a much better price, and I ordered the two-pack shampoo and conditioner (16.5 oz). I received them two days ago. They'd been packaged poorly and both the shampoo and conditioner had been forced open and leaked. I called Amazon and they authorized a refund for the products, for which I am very grateful. After I used the products I was extremely grateful to have my refund authorized because, although the Alterna packaging looked the same as what I'd had previously, it did not perform in the same way. My hair is dry and fly away after using these products. I don't know what's in the bottles, but it is not Alterna. I'm now going to go to a local Ulta or Sephora to buy the real thing. You get what you pay for.

I've been a fan and user of Caviar hair products for years - and have always purchased this product from a dept or specialty store.. This Product is NOT the same as you buy in a legitimate store - it leaves a very heavy wax coating on your hair - Unsure how and where this particular product originated from - but it's an entirely different formula. I am working with the seller for a refund at present.

If you have frizzy hair, or hair that gets dry with coloring, this is a good choice. The prices vary, so look around. Thirty for the shampoo/conditioner combo is a good price. My hair dries naturally into frizzy waves and curls, but can be straightened easily with round brush/blowout or flat iron. I also highlight my hair (balayage), which really dries it out. This shampoo makes my hair shiny and soft. The conditioner is thick, I mix it with a little conditioner that has argon oil in it. Before I blow dry, I spray a little argan oil and a little Alterna Caviar Rapid Repair Anti-Aging. This is my magic bullet for making over-processed hair look shiny again. I've started getting compliments on it again.

I started using this product because I am experiencing hair loss at the age of 32. Very upsetting. This product was suggested online because it is SLS, Paraben and PEG free - which some people have allergies to which can cause hair loss. This is my second time using it and my hair is as dry as a bone and the fragrance of both the shampoo and conditioner is off putting - smells very chemically to me. My hair was never dry before. I was hopeful of the good reviews, and that I would have a good experience as well, but it is not to be I suppose. I could have spent my money on Christmas gifts instead. Pics attached are of the hair loss I am experiencing which is why I bought this product in the first place.

As some of the other reviews mention, this product is fake. I buy alterna from sephora and my stylist and this shampoo and conditioner are TOTALLY different. The real one is amazing and makes my hair soft and shiny, this makes my hair feel like straw and look damaged. STAY AWAY.
