Not for single stack 1911 mags, unless you modify.

Works beautifully for double stack magazines. But the openings are too wide for single stack 1911 mags. My full size Springfield 1911 fits just fine, but the single stack mags fall through to the bottom of the openings, causing me to have to dig them out. That's my only complaint. Otherwise... 5 stars. Fortunately, the foam inserts for each mag holder and the gun holder are included with your purchase. I will have to slice each foam piece and glue it to the inside of the mag holes in order to make the mags fit nice and snug so they stay put and not drop to the bottom. Btw, I put these inside metal 50 cal cans I got from WalMart, and they fit perfectly. I most definitely recommend this item. Happy Shooting!!

This is the second one I've bought. Fits Sig 226 and Beretta 92 snugly. It helps to trim the magazine foam inserts to provide more padding when magazines are inserted. Fits very snugly in a standard 50 Cal metal can.

Excellent. I actually too a steak knife and "adjusted" some of the magazine slots to fit two 50 round packages of ammo. Still have room for 3 mags and the pistol. Works just fine!

I don't want to get too whispy with this review. After all, it is a block of foam. This block fits my pistol and extra magazines fairly well. The G21 mags have a snug fit due to the depth of the ammo can and if asked to be nit picky then I suppose having the cutouts angled would provide more clearance but the lid still closes and keeps my kids from being able to access the pistol. That was the point of the purchase and I'm satisfied. Enough so that I'll probably be returning to purchase the foam for another can to house the AR magazines.
