Best 5 Gallon Bucket $20 can buy. Worth the extra $.

Great product, truly the best 5 gallon bucket I've ever owned. It's quite expensive but it's very true... you get what you pay for and this is no exception. I bought a 5 gallon bucket from my local Lowes hardware store for around $8 including the lid and you can totally tell the difference. The cheaper one has a noticeably thinner plastic for the bucket and lid. The better one from living whole foods is truly the thickest your going to get, it feels very solid and works great. There is also a better handle on it than the cheaper Lowes one. The lid though is where you get a big difference this lid is very solid and great for anything from storing paint to keeping food fresh. I've used mine for all sorts of things and it's been full to the top with liquid and never bends, not even a little so it's just better in every way. You'll just be paying about double for about double the quality. It's worth it if your using it for anything you care about not ruining. Last and deffenatly not least, I'm positive this bucket will last you at least 3 times longer then a cheaper version, you'll be saving money in the long run for sure. This bucket will last you a life time if your not extremely destructive with it.... even then it might hold up to quite the beating.
Very pleased with these buckets

These are great buckets! Very durable not thinned walled. We did not use the enclosed lids but installed the spin lids we had purchased seperately. We store grains, dried beans, sugar and rice in the buckets. Have had no problems whatsoever! Even the handles seem to be durable.

I was especially pleased with the fast shipping and there was a thank you note (with my name) written on the box.

We checked prices and for the amount of buckets we needed this was the best buy. If we need more we will be back to place another order.
These are ideal for my purposes.

Excellent plastic buckets. Now, I can make my own "Berkey" water filtration system with the 2 black filters that I have and a drill. The buckets apear to be high quality. They could be used to milk cows or store foods or fluids. They work well for what I need them for.
Great food grade buckets!

I bought this set of 3.5 gallon food grade buckets to replace the 5 gallon ones I was using for my gravity water filter that were much too big to sit on my counter with 2 stacked. These 3.5 gallon ones work great while still allowing me to use the 10" candle filters, plus they have the added bonus of not having writing on them. I will definitely be ordering more of these from you in the future for dry food storage.
Instructions for closing lids

Great customer service, sent this rather quickly regarding how to seal the lids. I haven't tried it yet, but wanted to post this for others who may be wondering. The buckets are great, just a little extra effort to get my head around these lids! Here's the sellers instructions they sent me:

PROCEDURE: DEAD-BLOW MALLET
1. The cover should be placed so that the gasket channel is centered directly over the pail top rim (curl) - misalignment can damage the components.
2. The pail should be stationary and if necessary in a fixture to insure that it stays centered during application.
3. The Dead-Blow mallet should hit the cover on the top of the outer channel (top of skirt) - the targets for the mallet blows should be based on a clock face: The 1st hit should be at 6:00, 2nd at 12:00, 3rd at 3:00 and final at 9:00.
4. It is recommended that a visual Inspection take place after cover application.
Recovering:
After the covers is applied. When the tear tab is pulled there are 4 lugs about 3 " long located equal distance around the circumference of the lid. The pail is opened by pulling the lugs outward until they come over the top lip of the pail. The lid can be reapplied by banging the cover above the lugs until they re-engage the top lip of the pail and snap down. Once this is done the pail should reseal.
