This is a very good entry level microphone
Bryst•July 21, 2017
This is a very good entry level microphone. I was tired of shoddy "gaming" headsets with awful drivers and tinny mics. So I decided to get a real mic and pair it with my Sennheiser HD280s. My guild mates noticed the difference immediately. I sounded clearer and had a much richer voice to them. I didn't have alot of background noise as this mic does not pick up all sounds like a cheap headset mic will.
It looks very nice on its scissor arm stand mounted to my desk. You will however need a phantom power supply to go with this mic, as even with the power supply it does not have a good range on it. I normally position it about 8-10 inches away from me when using. If you do alot of voice communication while gaming and have a decent set of headphones, this is a much better option compared to buying a "gaming" headset.

This is a very good mic for the price

This is a very good mic for the price. I used it to record some aggressive vocals and it captured my voice true to form. I had some clipping issues, but I think that was from some volume changes I didn't account for in the middle of some of my lines. This is a very sensitive mic, so I imagine it would pick up an acoustic guitar pretty well too. Definitely pair it with a windscreen for the best results.
Excellent microphone, no complaints

This mic works amazingly well, especially for the price. I bought this with a stand and the phantom power all for under $60. From my testing, it sounds very good, even comparing or beating the blue yeti microphone. If configured correctly, most, if not all, of the background noise is removed. One of the reasons I decided to upgrade my mic is because it picks up my loud blue switches from my mechanical keyboard. I took a few minutes to configure the mics volume and gain to remove the background noise and only show my voice. After configuration, the mic only picks up my voice and no background noise, not even my loud keyboard, all while keeping my voice loud enough to where people have to turn my volume down in chat because I'm so loud. Overall, this is an excellent microphone, especially for the very low price around $20.
Great value for the money

I compared many budget microphones, and watched countless youtube videos comparing such value microphones in order to make my decision. I bought this to complete a desk setup for streaming, gaming, and the occasional audio production project in mind. I really cannot be much happier with my decision. The sound is really good for the price, and compares to some of the nicer mics I've used in a professional studio. I've been using it strictly for vocals and it has a really full sound to it that allows you to bring out the highs, mids or lows if you're using an EQ. I have it powered 48V phantom power through a SoundCraft folio notepad into an ASUS DGX sound card and the signal noise is extremely low, almost non existent. I almost went for the cheapest similar microphone I could find, and after watching some reviews between this model and other *insert-random-letter-800 style mics, this one was a clear winner for me, based on the fact that it seems so well rounded for all types of recordings. I'm a guitarist and plan on using this with acoustic and electric and don't see any reason why I would have issues, especially after hearing it perform in the reviews. I'm by no means recording an album or anything with this, but for laying down tracks and getting a basic mix going, sure. Podcastage is a good channel to see what I'm talking about regarding comparisons. If you are concerned about having the best sounding microphone for the price (under $30 US), you really can't beat it. If you are concerned about having the best microphone in any category at all, you should look at more quality (expensive) microphones.
this one was way better: recordings of my voice were much more clear ...

I just wanted to try out a studio condenser microphone for a low price to see how the sound quality compared to my existing microphone. I don't really have any experience with studio condenser mics, so I can't say how it compares to others of that type. However, comparing it to various other mics I've used before (the type that plug into the computer microphone input port), this one was way better: recordings of my voice were much more clear and full range. For my modest needs, this mic will be more than enough.
