I decided to start painting my nails in order to stop chewing on them and discovered the world of indie nail polish companies. After ending up with a mess of nail polishes crowded on a shelf in the bathroom, I found the Makartt case and it fits perfectly. We have 11 inches of clearance between two shelves and this case was the only one that had the bottles stand upright perpendicular to the handle, so I can set it on its side and the bottles are upright (if that makes sense.).
All my polishes fit, no matter how oddly shaped or tall the bottle is. (Examples: Orly, KBShimmer, Mooncat, Cirque, I Scream, A England, Morgan Taylor, China Glaze, Zoya). I'm careful with the container hinges, since these very sturdy plastic chunkers have tiny little hinges, a likely fail point, but so far so good.

I bought this nail polish holder so that I could organize my numerous nail polishes in a more compact way. I love that each one holds 48 bottles. While it will hold all standard sized bottles from most of the popular brands, it may not hold bottles that have a weird shape or are extra large. The holder keeps the bottles fairly securely in their little cubbies, so I was able to stack two of the holders flat in a drawer without worrying that the individual nail polishes might slide around and break or spill. While the holder is fairly clear, it is just cloudy enough that I usually have to open it to determine if the nail polish I want is in there.
