After hours long taken for assembly, the set worked great. The instructions were clear enough. There're tons of parts to assemble. I wish the metal foot rests can be adjusted with lock to allow the back extension workout. Otherwise, I would've given 5 stars.

This machine has been a bit of a nightmare. First of all, it's so massive you will need to schedule freight delivery for it (which meant waiting even longer for it). That required taking a vacation day out of work for my husband. Our particular driveway is rather narrow and very long so the truck could not bring it directly to our doorstep. My husband had to take it in multiple pieces from the top of the driveway into the house. Luckily it wasn't raining that day!

Once in the house I choose to remove every piece and number them since they do not already come that way (it would be SO much easier if they did). The directions include only diagrams and no written words so if I could make it easier on myself I would. In the process of labeling I found a damaged piece (see pictures ). It looked like the threads of this metal item had rusted and gotten cardboard stuck in them. I at this point thought I could maybe use some Rust/lyme spray and a toothpick and clean it up. It was odd because the box it came in showed no damage. I had all the pieces out and labeled. I stupidly opened the top of the box the weight plates were in and just visually counted them and left them in the box. This process alone took an hour or so, maybe even longer. I decided I'd put it together the next night and had my husband throw all the boxes in the recycling bin since the following day was trash day. Stupid mistake.

The next day my husband and I started to put it together (I, a woman initially tried to do it myself and found I needed help). When we got to the weight section we grabbed the box and started stacking. Half way through we found a damaged weight plate! It had an actual hole in it causing the whole thing to be warped. Again, there was no visible damage to the box it came in. At this point we couldn't continue. I contacted Amazon who offered a return (remember I've already trashed the boxes) or a partial refund and let me reach out directly to the company. I choose that option. I reached out to the company and they said they'd send out the parts and send me the tracking number. This machine was now covering my floor partially put together in my finished basement which doubles as a play room. I had to shut the room off and stop using it at this point.

So, 4-5 days have gone by and I haven't received the tracking numbers. I reached out to the company again and was told there was a backorder of 6-8 weeks. I was fuming. I went back to Amazon who offered another free return or partial refund. I took the later. I appreciated what Amazon offered when they could have done nothing.

Finally, the pieces came and we got to work. Putting this machine together took hours upon hours. Even with unbroken pieces it was still a nightmare. Eventually, we got it together and it seemed to work nicely.

A week or so in and a carabiner just broke. Now I need to go out and find a replacement. I'm just waiting to see what else is going to go wrong at this point.

Do yourselves a favor and look at another home gym. This one is just a headache waiting to happen.

After a couple of months of use the parts started breaking. The warranty provides free replacement parts however I had to make multiple phone calls and wait six, i repeat six weeks for it to arrive. Now a second part has broken and I'm stuck waiting for a part again. Also, is a nightmare to put the gym together. If they put just a little more effort into the assembly instructions a lot of pain could be avoided.

Bought this to replace a previous model. It went to together fairly easily, but it takes a bit to figure out parts using the picture only guide. It would have been nice to have some written instructions for various parts of the process as I'm sure the manufacturer has some tips on how to make certain steps easier.

Like several other reviewers I had problems using the butterfly attachment and the hand holds hitting my chest. I contacted Marcy and they claimed they'd never heard anybody complain about that, so I suggested they start looking at the product reviews and sent them several samples. They also said they couldn't replicate the problem and suggested that I return it to Amazon for a replacement. I have no idea how that would be possible considering the size and cost to ship. They then suggested I remove the hand holds when I wanted to use the butterfly - not practical. So what I'll be doing instead is shortening the handles by two inches and trying to find an end cap. Something Marcy should have done on their own.

Pros: Looks nice and for the most part works well. The adjustable cable tension is a plus over my previous model.
Cons: Butterfly attachment hits the side of my chest when used. Didn't have this problem on my last Marcy unit.

UPDATE: I measured the width of my hands on the handles and ended up removing 2.25" of the handle with a pipe cutter. I can now use the butterfly attachment without any issues.

Received the gym in 6 boxes. The way everything, was packed in the boxes, was really well done, all the parts were wrapped in bubble plastic, very well protected. After looking at the directions, and all the different parts, I got a little discouraged, it seemed a difficult task at best. So I started really slow, really looking at the directions and taking my time. Its not as difficult as I thought, the hardest part is installing all the different pulleys and cable. But if you study the directions and go slow its not that hard.
I was pleasantly surprised on how well this gym is made, all the different parts fit well toghrtr, the screws you can tell are not cheaply made, everything is really made well.
After it was all done it looks really nice, quality machine. The black with the red is really cool.
I've been using it for about a week now, it feels really solid when working out.
Very satisfied with this purchase, Amazon again did a great job.

1year after working great no problems use it all the time great product.
