I absolutely love the ease of this magnetic knife pull down. I enjoyed it so much, that when I bought a new house I bought another one. This keeps my knives up and away from my kids and it fits snuggly under a cabinet and off the countertop. Unfortunately the quality of product I received this time wasn't as nice as the 1st purchase, as you will see in my photos.

So we needed a secure storage for our larger speciality knives and this fit the bill. Its held up by extremely powerful magnets making it somewhat difficult to pull down. And even when it does come down for access, the internal magnets securing the knives keeps everything in place without worry of the knives falling down upon the counter. For me, it really gives me a safe place for our larger knives allowing for our everyday knives to be stored separately. I'm still getting use to it and the installation was not the easiest, yet I still was able to install it without too much hassle. And you do need both hands to pull it open"¦..I'm trying to say this is not easy to open for just anyone"¦.keeping the knives relatively safe from really young, curious peeps ps.

This is a nice alternative to visible magnetic knife strips. Your knives, scissors etc are held firmly in place and the whole unit snaps up into place when your finished. This is a nice way to keep your knife block off the counter.
