Not pure white -- slightly off-white

These bowls are great -- heavy enough not to be delicate but they still look great. I am disappointed in the color, which is not a pure white (my other "white" dishes from various brands are pure white). These are slightly creamy in color rather than the stark white I was looking for. I haven't decided whether or not to keep them because it was so difficult to find a good-quality (i.e., not easily broken) 4.5-inch, 10-oz. porcelain bowl. Maybe since most dining doesn't take place in bright light it won't matter that these don't quite go with the other white dishes. It would be a shame to return them because they're otherwise exactly what I've been looking for.

We purchased these in October of 2017, and our family has loved using them for the past a months - have not broken one yet. We bought the 22 oz (good for cereal), 32 oz (for slightly larger quantities when necessary, the width is wider and I like the way soup cools faster in these), and 2 quart sizes (we use these for holding our fresh fruits - one holds a bunch of bananas along with some lemons, apples, pears, ect"¦). We wash them in the dishwasher, they look stylish with the glossy finish, and they are a solid bowl. I am sure they would shatter if they hit the floor, but we're just careful with them. We love how nice and deep they are, and the fact that the feel a little more "substantial" than Corel - comparison in pics. Since they are heavier, we just stack them on the counter top to keep the extra weight out of the overhead cabinets. We will definitely order these again if necessary.

I love these little bowls!! I purchased them for a dinner party I was having with a 7 course meal. Obviously no one needed a full soup/cereal size bowl of soup with all of the other courses they were getting! These were the perfect size to give everyone a taste of the soup without filling them up before the main course.

We bought Mikasa coma from Costco several years ago and love the simplicity of the dinnerware. The bowls however have been vanishing one by one so when I looked for replacements I was shocked to see the price of the authentic Mikasa bowls!
These were recommended and much less expensive and what do you know, a virtually exact replica of our current bowls but for half of the price (or less)!
I definitely recommend; they are great sized bowls for soup, salad, cereal or everyday.
They stack well (aren't too snug as to get stuck in one another) and come very well protected in the box.

Perfect for "Big Salads"

These bowls are fantastic for the price! They were exactly what I was looking for. We like "Big Salads" (ever watched that episode of Friends?) and we need big bowls to eat them in. I'm trying to eliminate all plastic and melamine from the kitchen, but just couldn't seem to find salad bowls that were the right size. These are perfect...not too big and not too small! The only downside is they are SUPER smooth, with no details/indentations in the ceramic...so when they are soapy, they are incredibly slick. I had one slip right out of my fingers the very first time I washed them. Thankfully it didn't break. I'll have to wash them very carefully, from now on.
