It seems like a solid net. Not too hard to extend, definitely requires two hand operation. Very large see my photo fully extended on my queen size bed.

I have done any serious fishing with it but overall I impressed. The telescopic grip is great for when you are fishing from a cliff or in my case trying to keep some distance from the local alligators 😕. The only real complaint that I have is that the buttons are a little hard to depress.
