I received this rootball, twice, and promptly put this in a large container with a four posted garden trellis.
Only one of the rootballs showed a sign of life at time of receipt. After two weeks of keeping it moist, both showed tiny signs of life. I was initially angry, but with a bit of TLC, I'm sure they'll do well.
The last 24 hours we've had heavy rain and both of these are flourishing! I also gave a nice dose of potassium (Muriate of Potash), this seems to help plants help themselves. Humic acid also helps.
I actually gave up after two weeks and bought another. If I hadn't really babied the two rootballs, I'd have given up. I actually went to Plan C and have 9 seedlings.
I wrote the nursery for feedback and instructions and received no response. I notice they have the lowest possible rating.

Came shipped in box, but soil was very moist! Plant was very healthy with 4 "branches. Just a couple of weeks later and the plant has tripled! I was a little weary because of some of the reviews but went for it because I couldn't find a trumpet vine locally due to it being so late in the season. I'm really pleased with the growth so far and can't wait for the blooms next year! Also excited they guarantee the plant for three years! I will probably buy a couple more next year as they are perfect for a privacy hedge along my wrought iron fence!!!
