Good Bluetooth for the money
Jason C•March 31, 2016
This Bluetooth is being used in a Shark Raw helmet and iPhone 6s+. It fits with no modification, using Velcro to attach under the cheek/ear pads. I had no trouble powering on, pairing, or operation the device with the helmet off. The two operation buttons are on the mic so either you have to use Siri or the remote control that comes with it. Once you have the wireless remote paired with the headset it works fine. Do not lose the remote or you will have no way to operate the headset without fiddling with the phone or the mic.
One other consideration may be the thickness of the earpieces. I don't have experience with other in-helmet Bluetooth, but the combination of helmet and the BL100 seems to put quite a bit of extra pressure on my ears. I may have to play around with the positioning of the speakers, but at this point it's not painful, but definitely noticeable.
Call quality is great and the speakers are loud enough to be heard over wind noise and a Harley 1200 with Short Shots at highway speed. Music is loud enough to hear but it's not a great sound quality, very tinny. It's meant for voice calls and intercom but the music is there if you don't care about quality. The mic works well and callers have no problem hearing me at all speeds.

Let me first say that I've compared many systems, and on a whim I ordered 3 different ones. I ordered the Sena S3 and S3 full face kits, as well as this one. The reason I bought this one was because it came with the extra bluetooth remote that mounts on the handlebars. I figured it was too good to be true.
However, when I got the package, I was first impressed with the packaging itself. I've owned and sent back a prior generation blinc system. The packaging and detail has improved greatly. (they must read reviews)
The system that mounts in the helmet is strikingly similar to the S3. I would not be surprised if they were made by the same factory! Both work very well, and both are louder than my Torc helmet that has blinc in it.
The first huge difference is that although the systems function pretty much the same way, this one comes with a remote that I was able to mount on my clutch side bar. On one bike I was able to fit on the bar. I added a rubber strip to keep the remote stationary with pressure. On another bike, I mounted to the left edge of the grip. The remote synched the deal for me. I'm going to add another one. I expected lag between the remote and the helmet system, but there wasn't any.
Moreover, the remote is really easy to use. The buttons are color coded, and easy to learn. I can see this thing getting really popular. I'm glad I stumbled on to it. I highly recommend it. It is the loudest bluetooth system I've used (and I've used almost every brand over the last 5 years).
I'd buy it again, and in fact I will buy a 2nd one to test the 2 way intercom system.
