I am pleased with this purchase overall. It is very sturdy, and comes fully assembled in one piece (it is delivered in a huge box, so be prepared!). It was a bit pricey, but I do think it's probably a fair price given the quality. Be aware that it's a pretty large basket if you don't have a lot of counter-space. It's very tall, and it JUST fits on my kitchen counter below the cabinets. Be sure to measure your space before purchasing. Part of the height is from two large handles on the top that stick up, and I feel they are unnecessary. This basket is sitting in one place on the counter and does not need to be carried around, so why the handles? I guess they are pretty, but they make the basket taller and bulkier than needed. Still, this basket works for me, as I wanted something white, and decorative. I plan to store fruit on the top, and random stuff like snacks and rolls on the bottom level. My husband laughed when he saw it, saying that it reminded him of something he'd see in his grandma's kitchen. But some things never go out of style!

I ordered this basket for my fruit and things like onions and garlic. When the basket came, I put my fruit in the bottom and the onions and garlic on top. Truth of the matter is the basket is so big, I don't fill it up so I now use it for my bigger items like squash on the bottom and kept the onion and garlic on top. It just works better for me as a veggie basket and I bought a set of new ones (smaller) for the fruit. I imagine if more than 2 of us were here, that big bottom could easily be filled with fruit but there are only two of us so we don't have much fruit at any one time. With all that being said, as you can see, the basket is versatile and can be used for things even as big as that butternut squash. I have onions and garlic on the top with still lots of room for more. I simply love this basket for the way I am using it. Finally I will not have squashes rolling around the counters and a nice place to put it. All I can suggest is to make sure you note the dimensions of this and measure under your cabinet to your counter top (there is no 'standard' distance and every one is different) to see if you have enough room for it. I was going to order another for my daughter-in-law (she loved it) but it would not fit on her counter.

I am so happy with this basket that I am using for fruit. Good size and very sturdy. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

The basket is absolutely beautiful - a soft, satin-finish champagne gold. The design is gorgeous, and the size is perfect. Spacious without taking up a huge amount of counter space.

I bought this for all those boxed snack foods that were in the pantry-so I could get rid of all those half empty, almost empty, and sometimes completely empty boxes. It looks great and holds a bunch! It's working really well and the ONLY boxes in the pantry now are unopened ones. My unwelcome and unseen visitor, I. Dunno, has quit coming around. I never met I. Dunno but the kids always told me that's who had taken the last one had left the empty box on the shelf.
Me: Who took the last Zinger/Little Debbie cake/Pop Tart and put the empty box back into the pantry?

I've had this for more than 2 years now and the only difference between mine and a brand new one is that mine has some dust buildup. (The same dust buildup is a common theme throughout my home.) I believe the main reason for the durability of this is that the entire unit is welded together and then powder coated. So many of the multi-tier storage baskets require assembly-- and the result is not as sturdy as this welded unit. That's why I recently looked for this brand again after my husband started bringing in bags of fresh produce every few days.
