So I received my first lantern and was very upset that it did not turn on after following the directions (something was broken during shipping) so I emailed the customer service around 7 pm and received an email from them the next morning! It was a very fast response and they were going to ship me a new one asap. So if you have any problems simply email and they will be glad to help you out! As for the lantern it does come with 3 batteries and is pretty heavy and durable. It is pretty bright for the price and doesn't hurt your eyes if you are needing to keep it nearby. One of my pictures has the lantern on with the highest setting. I would recommend this product and the company to anyone!

I looked high and low for months to find the perfect battery operated lantern for our campouts. I've gone through two of the Coleman versions and wasn't impressed by their battery power. The rechargeable batteries didn't last as long as they should have (about a year or two of use, then they were dead). So I looked for a lantern that took regular batteries I could purchase at any of the big stores. I also wanted something that was light enough for my children to carry them but rugged enough to survive a few falls. This lantern fit all of those requirements and is super bright. One set of batteries more than lasted through a week of camping, with nightly use. If I need a second lantern I will be returning to purchase this one.

Normally I don't write product reviews unless it is really bad or super good. This is a great buying experience.

The Supernova worked for a couple of years. Battery lasted a long time and the light is bright enough.
Recently after changing to new batteries, not sure why, it won't turn on again. Tried anther set of batteries still the same.
Emailed customer service and got a response within a couple of hours even on a weekend.

They shipped a new one out next Monday. Can't beat the product and customer services!

Small, yet with impressive light output! I purchased this to have on hand in my bedroom closet in the event of a power outage, and I ended up buying several and putting them in different places in the house, just in case. Probably not a bad idea to keep on in your car as well.

I'm super impressed with both the lantern and the company. I ordered two of these lanterns: one for my husband and I and one for my mother. We stayed in our homes through Hurricane Matthew in October. And, yes, it had several scary moments. My power was out for two days and my mom's for almost three days. We both had what turned out to be puny little lanterns providing just enough light so that we didn't break toes navigating through the dark. I wanted to make sure we had some muscular light the next time, thus these Ultra Brights. One of the lanterns worked perfectly: broad illumination filling the room that I could likely read comfortably by. Perfect. The other one didn't work out of the box, so I requested an Amazon return. However, Hubby wanted to see if he could get it to work. A month later, not working and I couldn't return. So I wrote an email to the company asking if they had any suggestions for getting the light to work. Amazon says wait two days for a response from the company. The response was NOT an email, but a BRAND NEW WORKING LAMP in the mail within two days! I am an impressed, happy customer and would happily do business with this company again. These guys know what customer service is!
