This bag is pretty nice. I still have an 80s vintage Bermuda bag, and this is very similar to those from that time. The main difference is that the wooden handles are thinner on this new bag, about 1/4 inch thick each. Since they are thinner and not hinged, but instead attached to the bag liner only, the "feel" of closing and carrying the bag is a little different from my vintage bag. What I like about this design difference is that the handles are lightly attached to the bag liner with a few stitches running through a few tiny holes drilled in the wooden handles. So, since I sew, if needed I can easily detach the liner and make a replacement, as well as make up a bunch of unique slipcovers. It works as a replacement for the vintage bag, which I can now just keep around for sentimental reasons.

Preppy like the 80's, buttons firmly attached to handle. They accidentally sent me a wholesaler's package of THREE, no response when I asked what to do with the extras. I sure would like more cover styles. ALWAYS COUNT THE BUTTONHOLES AND PLACEMENT ON THE COVERS BEFORE BUYING. SOME HAVE THREE, SOME HAVE FOUR. Otherwise, enjoy the nostalgia :)
