I was worried that this wouldn't work out but it is a great little sleeping fan. I have always needed white noise to sleep because I have a hearing problem and I also just prefer to have a breeze on my face. I sleep better that way and this little fan is perfect. It sits on my night stand and doesn't take up much room. It's quiet but not too quiet so I have just enough noise. I love the sleep timer. I no longer have to set an alarm because as soon as the fan turns off, I wake up.

My wife picked these out and I thought really? Do we even need a pair of them? Well once again she was right. They are small, they are quite and they operate on step down DC voltage (they are cheap to operate). The best part is they are so unobtrusive. Mine sits at arms length away on a lamp stand and focuses right on me when and where I need it. Adjustable to suit the need. Not at all like a box fan or others that require TV volume to be turned up to be heard over the fan noise.

This is a nice-looking fan that takes up very little space. I like the fan-speed options, the timer with 2, 4, and 8-hour intervals (if you do not select a time, it will continue to run until it's manually shut off), and the range of motion for oscillation. However, the air output is kind-of low and must be used in close-range to be able to feel the air. As some have mentioned in other reviews, this fan is best suited to be used on top of a work or home office desk. It's also good on a bedside table. The blue light does not bother me - it's not bright at all, but I know that some people are very sensitive to any type of light when trying to sleep, so maybe they can place a sticky note over the light. A sticky note will stay on without leaving tape, glue or other adhesive residues.

Some of the reviews I've read mentioned that the cord is loose and comes out easily from the power port on the back of the unit. I have not had any problems with cord disconnection when handling or moving the fan.

I gave this fan 4 stars because of the features, appearance, and due to it being the perfect solution for a desk or a bedside table. It's meant to be a personal fan, not a room fan. I took away a star because of the low air output.

I also purchased a Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating fan. It does not have the bells and whistles that are on the Honeywell fan. It only has two air speeds, but the air output is a lot stronger. Both serve the purpose for why I purchased them, and the price for each was good.

I bought this fan after pouring over Amazon reviews. The size is as expected - a really compact, nice size. It works well. I am returning it for 2 reasons: it is loud! I had it on the bedside table, and kept me awake all night, even on the 'sleep' setting. Most of all, and an issue I had not read about, is the brightness of the blue 'power' or 'on' button. It is bright blue, and I found it way too bright and disruptive to my sleep. All that said, it appears well-made and sturdy.

I purchased 2 of these fans, one for at home and one for the office. I like the slim design and the quiet operation but am having trouble with the cord/contact on one of them. If I need to move it, the fan goes off and it is difficult to find a position that will turn it back on. Honeywell is normally a good quality product but this one is disappointing.

In less than a year, both of them are having issues. One stopped working completely. The other still has to be positioned just right. This fan is junk. I'm hoping Amazon or Honeywell will make it right.
