This is a great crate as long as your dog/cat doesn't try to get out or bothers with the crate itself. Our crate lasted 4 months! We used this for a 20# poodle mix that liked to sleep on the couch at night. In hopes of keeping her off the couch and out of the upstairs, we got this crate to keep her contained when she couldn't be supervised. For the first 2 months, everything was fantastic! The dog was comfortable, the kids were happy seeing their dog safely tucked away but laying on a nice soft pad, and we were happy that she was staying out of stuff. Then, discovered that if you lean on the top of the crate, the mesh distorts and pulls to make a bubbled shape. Then, another month later, the dog decided she wanted to get out and started scratching at the front "door" mesh. It is torn beyond repair and the crate is no longer usable for containment. For the cost, we were really hopeful that it would be a good option. Sadly, we are disappointed.

After lugging a heavy, bulky MidWest wire crate to the dog sitter's house for boarding when I went on a trip, I decided to purchase this soft crate for my Frenchie puppy. When it arrived two days before going on a road trip including a stay in a hotel, I set it up in the kitchen for him to explore. It was easy to set up. He took to it right away! (The attached picture is from his first time getting in it.) He sniffed around, nibbled at it a little, and then laid down and chewed on his bully stick. In the hotel, he did well sleeping in it, once I covered it with a light blanket. (He's used to a crate cover at home.) I haven't put it away, since he still likes to hang out in it.
I purchased the medium size, which will still fit him comfortably when he's an adult. (He was about 12 lbs. when I took the picture.) The crate seems quite durable, but full disclosure - my puppy is a light chewer, not hyper, and used to sleeping in a crate. So, YMMV. The red color is very tasteful and is pretty true to the photos - maybe slightly darker. I am getting another Frenchie puppy soon, and if they end up preferring to sleep together, I will purchase the same crate in a larger size to use when boarding.

This kennel is extremely well made. We bought this to use while we are in Mexico taking the Copper Canyon tour on their train. We were told me needed a kennel. Our Jack went right inside and laid down. Very comfortable. Jack measures about 24", so we got the 28" deep one and it is very roomy for him. Doubt that we will use it much because Jack is my Hearing Alert Service Dog. I love the fact that it has a shoulder strap as well as a top carrying handle. I think they have thought of everything. I think that Jack is cuter than their dog model...............I have decided to return this due to the fact that I have a major struggle with the spring loaded frame. It is just not easy for me. Otherwise, for a stronger person, this is a great crate.

This crate is well-constructed. However, the design isn't great. First of all, the outside dimensions are only 16" wide, 16-1/2" tall, & 23-1/2" deep. Second, the "door" is like a tent flap, is only 10" X 10," & must be rolled up and 'velcroed' to keep it open. Our 14 lb. dog is a bit too big for this crate, even though it was suggested for medium dogs. The metal frame is sturdy, but a little tricky to connect and disconnect. This crate folds up well for travel.
