The 52-53 mm diameter version was a little snug but acceptable for my 8×42 Nikon Aculon A211. I measured 53 mm and probably should've ordered the 53-55 mm version instead. These covers were easy to install and indeed protect the objective lens as promised. I'd buy them again. For the soft rubber material, $25 seems a little high but this type of product is a little hard to find locally. Thank you, Amazon.

This is my 2nd pair, 1st pair bought from Ebay, shipped by Amazon! Couldn't find them for 1st pair, found them for my old Zeiss dialyt 10x40's. Measuring is pretty straight forward, unless you went to school from the 80's on.:-) 1st pair for Leopold 10x40 Acadia's were 52~53mm, a little tight on the old Zeiss.
Went to 53~55mm, spot on fit. Since 1mm = .04" it was a no brainer to order!

use on Nikon Prostaff 7S 8x42 binos. I use electrical tape on the ocular end to provide a baffle the open round end is snagged by and provides a somewhat wider diameter for the actual closed lens covering to grab onto. Try about 6 times around with the electrical tape and add or subtract to your satisfaction

It was a tough choice determining a "universal" lens cap that would fit the size I had; the diameter managed to fall at the very top of one size cap and at the bottom of the other, in the small range the 2 caps overlapped. I choose the one that was at the very top of the range of diameter, so it would be too tight, if anything, and that worked out.
