Looks like the real thing!

This is amazing! I put this contact paper on a small section in my kitchen to see how it would look. People think it's real granite until I reveal my secret :)
I read all the reviews and felt pretty good about buying 1 roll. For $10 it was worth a shot. I had to lift the paper up a few times on the first section until I got it straight. I also was not 100% perfect getting it completely lined up - you can see in a couple of the attached photos that there is a very small space in between two of the pieces. I tried overlapping a tiny bit, but I didn't like the appearance and feel of it. I felt it was better having a less than 1mm space than to have the 'bump' feeling of the overlap.
The edge of my countertop is wood, and I recently painted the cabinets. The paper didn't stick to the painted wood very well, but I had enough to wrap around it and tuck it up underneath. After a few weeks it is still sticking, and if it does lift, I'll just thumbtack it to the wood.
I have told my family that if they do not use a cutting board and end up cutting this then they have to replace it. So far so good.
Very happy with this purchase. I will be doing the remainder of the countertops a little at a time.

I cannot even begin to rave about this enough or truly express my utmost satisfaction with this product! I only wish I discovered it years ago when we first moved into our rental with our hideous kitchen countertops and cabinets. I did a lot of research and probably read way way too many reviews before I purchased this but everyone's reviews truly helped and were greatly appreciated. Many reviewers even gave application/installation advice which tremendously helped when determining how many rolls to order and how to more easily apply the contact paper to our counters. I applied the contact paper while my husband was out (took approximately 3 hours because I am a perfectionist) and when he arrived home he was shocked at how realistic it looked. He didn't know I had gone ahead and purchased it (he was very skeptical) so it ended up being a nice surprise. I even messed up in one area and had to remove a bit of the paper and it came up fairly easy and did not damage my landlord's counters. I only ordered 3 rolls knowing that if I mess up I may need to order more. However despite having to throw out a large piece due to my mistake in applying it, 3 rolls was just enough with very little leftover. I was so glad I could finish my kitchen with just 3 rolls! Friends and family have complimented our "new counters" and are shocked to find out it is only contact paper and how inexpensive it was to complete the project! It really transformed our kitchen! And as many have commented, the granite pattern blends nicely and almost effortlessly. You can feel some of the seams when you run your fingers across the top of the counter but again, you barely, if at all, tell by the eye where the seams are located. I do not want to repeat other reviewers' advice but I do suggest following it! Important to note: Make sure to have a plastic card or hard putty spatula to apply and a box cutter or exacto knife to cut around the sink etc. And clean your counters with vinegar or rubbing alcohol before application. Do not use cleaning solutions as they can leave residue and the contact paper may not stick as well. I am now considering buying more contact paper in a different color/pattern from this company to hide our ugly fake wood cabinets. Thank you so much for making such a fantastic product! It gave me an easy, reversible, and inexpensive option to change our home without upsetting our landlord. We love our new kitchen counters!
Love it!

I have tried DC fix contact papers prior to this one and I was definitely pleased...this is no exception!!
My countertops are from 1995 and had plenty of dings and other damage ... and we don't have a lot of money so this is the route I chose ... and I couldn't be happier with the end results.
This stuff is really a DIY dream.. I took my time and didn't rush it and it came out great!
My counters go around both of the longer walls in my kitchen and I needed 6 rolls, 5 was so close to doing it but just not quite enough.
I did caulk around my sink to avoid any water damage , using a utility knife is key to clean edges too. Also, instead of trying to "wrap" it on the underside (which is partical wood in my case and wouldn't stick) I just cleanly cut it off even with the old laminate line.
I did do this project alone without any help and had no problems. I would say start in a less noticeable area and work your way from there until u get the hang of it.. design bends well, so it's pretty forgiving...
Overall no complaints .. going to do my bathroom counters next!

These turned out so much better then I ever expected! They were fairly easy to apply and so forgiving to mistakes. I've had them installed for about a month now with no problems.
