I bought this shoe to help me drive after I broke the 5th metatarsal of my right foot. I commute daily and was unable to drive in the fracture boot the doctor gave me. This shoe allows me to drive, but it isn't the greatest quality and doesn't offer half the support of the boot. I wear a 9 1/2 in women's shoes (8 in men's) and the medium BARELY fit. The velcro strap that goes around the ankle is way too long for me and I can just barely get it to latch. I had to cut the super long straps over the arch and toes. There is also some poor stitching and the fabric is very thin.

I would NOT recommend this for anyone fresh from surgery or an injury. I was not able to walk with this shoe without crutches for 3+ weeks after my injury. It simply isn't supportive enough. I currently only wear it to drive with and to get into my office in the morning. I will probably transition to wearing it more after the doctor clears me to stop wearing the boot.

I broke my pinky toe (like bad, sticking out crooked) and the orthopedist buddy taped it to the others to fix it. I wasn't able to walk with normal shoes and so I ordered this to get some semblance of real life back. I was a little nervous at first because some of the reviews aren't really kind to this shoe, and the other shoe I had in mind, had no reviews at all. I'm happy to say this works great, I'm able to walk again!

The two bottom straps have a piece of velcro that you can adjust the placement of, so you can move it to where you need the strap to be. This avoids the usual problem of only having the opposite piece of velcro on the very end, sometimes you aren't able to get it tight enough. That's not a problem with the two bottom straps of this, great idea!

The only reason I drop this to four stars is because for some reason, they didn't do the same thing to the top strap! They don't have the movable piece of velcro, why not? It's a great idea.

All of the straps were too long. But I'm not wearing any bandages, just a sock, so I guess it makes sense. Give you more strap than you need. I cut mine to fit the length I needed and it works great. Again, however, on the top strap, that doesn't work, since you need the end of it to have the opposite side of the velcro. I trimmed it and re-sewed to the custom length that I needed.

If they re-designed the top strap with that movable velcro piece, this would be a five star all day long. It works great, great price. If you are handy with a sewing machine, you can make it work. I can't see actually using this without custom fitting that top strap, however, because of the nature of my injury, I need the top strap to be the tightest.

The rocker heel is present, but not super noticeable. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. If you are expecting a strong rocking sensation to take the weight off of the toe, this doesn't totally deliver in that department. That said, it's very comfortable and I'm able to walk on it without issue.

I had bunion surgery which required a walking boot and then a surgical shoe. The podiatrist would charge $150 (after insurance), but this was less than $20. It's the same type of shoe and provides the needed support. I only wish that I'd bought the walking boot online as well (expensive lesson learned). My one compliant is that the strap is WAY too big for my ankle. I had to use button thread to sew a loop down and make it smaller.

The shoe itself was great, lightweight and was exactly what I was looking for. However I ordered my shoe size but this was way too big and I was not able to use it. I thought I could exchange it, but found out that you don't do exchanges. But you did refund my money and told me to keep it, throw it out or donate it (which is what I will do to my church, since I can't wear/use it). I thank you for your quick response to my inquiry about a refund. I was afraid I was stuck paying for an item that I cannot use. This is perfect for my broken toe. It has some support at the back and sides, it's adjustable for my narrow feet and it has hard sole. It doesn't have a large rocker bottom, but enough that when I stand my toes are lifted off the ground and all the weight is on the heel.
