Bought the red and used it for a full summer in AZ. The fabric didn't fade but to be fair, I brought it in at night. Broke it out for the 2020 COVID lockdown and it still looks great. No assembly needed, it looks high end, and cranks/tilts just fine. Does not come with a base but I got one at Home Depot for $29 and it works great! And while the price is ridiculously cheap, you get great value. I'm buying another one this summer.
Edit 7/20: I placed it on an unsteady stand and it blew into the pool. Twice. But amazingly, it is still in one piece and still opens and closes. By contrast, I bought a different brand umbrella this year and it lasted two months before the pole broke at the tilt mechanism and made it unusable. So I'll stick with this brand.

I am so impressed with the price and quality of this umbrella! The color is summer-vibrant, quality feels substantial, and it *does* shade the sun (bought this to replace an old umbrella that came with our table set that would still allow the sun through); I actually see us using the table now that the sun can be shaded. Rained right after we got it and water beads off--table below was dry. Some may want to go to the next size up for a table of this length, but we didn't see the need, as it's got a tilt feature that will work for the way our property is oriented to the sun. In photo I've included, you can see attached velcro closure. We are using it with the DC America UBP18181-BR 18-Inch Cast Stone Umbrella Base, Made from Rust Free Composite Materials, Bronze Powder Coated Finish , which was linked to this umbrella in the description and actually how it caught my eye.Waiting on some Greendale Home Fashions 17 x 17-Inch Toss Pillows, set of 2 to arrive! Buy this and get outside to enjoy the second half of summer!

I kept this umbrella open year round (Western NY) barring winds higher than 25mph. Blocks out the sun well enough, fabric water resistant enough, but I recommend waterproofing spray once per year. The construction is very sturdy. Out of all the umbrellas I've bought over the years, I would buy only this one again.

I love this umbrella. It is sturdy and stands well against the strong winds we get in the Texas panhandle. I needed shade for our backyard since every tree we planted back there has died. The umbrella works nice. We did have a stretch of extreme windy days and I did not dare open my umbrella to see how it'd withstand. When wind gusts are over 20 mph I usually don't open it. That was a week or two stretch unfortunately. It's still limiting. But I do like this umbrella as an option. I might need a heavier table or Base but I watched the winds destroy our last umbrella (Walmart) and wasn't going to risk the life of this one. It is adjustable and able to tilt so you can angle it to protect yourself from the sun or give yourself some extra privacy.
