great if you want prusik eating pulleys

these are supposed to be prusik minding pulleys, but the width from sheave to sheave is so wide that they are in fact prusik eating pulleys and turned my fail safe brake into a mechanical disadvantage. with 9mm rope and 5mm prusik (no i shouldn't go bigger on my prusik and my rope is standard 3/8" Dyneema throw rope), the whole thing fed right through. on the up side, it was a lesson in gear failure and I'm glad it happened during a demonstration instead of in the real world when I might actually need it.
i'm sure that if you aren't looking for the prusik minding feature then these are perfectly good pulleys. I can still use them for non-minding jobs but what a pain to have to differentiate in a teaching environment.
