Great product !! Caused Me to do more research and make more combinations of spices to add to my Lists !!

I am so grateful for this brand. I just ordered more products from this company. I got this to better my heart health. I haven't been to the doctors again to comment on that, but I definitely feel better.

After my 58 YO husband had a stroke due to Covid we really upped our game on natural ways to treat cardiovascular health, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Luckily he appears to have made a remarkable recovery so far and the doctors stated his Vegan diet was a big part of that. We didn't have too much wicked food to take out his diet so we just enhanced our protocol by adding Hawthorne Berry. Its something I just discovered after researching cardio supplements. I'm really careful about supplements and try to use WFPB with no added fillers. We do as much bulk supplements as possible so we can avoid extra stearates and fillers found in typical pills and capsules. Because we are dedicated to our health, I don't expect sweet tasty products, I want it as raw and unprocessed as possible. This a a natural earthy flavor, not sour or bitter but certainly not candy. As far as powders go its fairly neutral tasting. Can't say that I have ever taken this in just water. or juice. It is now part of our powerhouse smoothie. We use Orgain Vanilla Protein powder, Amla, and Camu Camu which are the highest and richest sources of natural Vitamin C, Turmeric, Ashwanganda, Amazing Grass Pineapple Greens and Gingko blended with a banana and Almond/Coconut milk. Its a quick way to get all sorts of good vitamins and minerals in one drink. Outside the Ginkgo which actually IS pretty nasty tasting but good for the brain, it's a pretty tasty drink if you are into healthy living already. I've turned on a few friends to this who drink it for health. Personally, I look forward to it each morning. Buying bulk is much cheaper that pilled supplements and you control the amount and the ingredients you consume so much better. All I know is the stroke was a wake up call for him to cut out any lingering crap and be more diligent on getting good stuff into himself. He balked at the prescribed cholesterol medication even though his was only 201. Doctors state it clears the arteries. He chose the natural approach. This isn't the only change we made. 3 months after the stoke it was down to 140 all done the natural way including this product. I take all my bulks out of the original product and put them in pretty matching glass containers that I leave on display. Makes it an easy to see, use, and a fun healthy ritual. This is Organic and Starwest Botanicals is a name I know and trust. This will be my go to product for Hawthorne.

I gave it 1 star for flavor because the stuff doesn't taste good - ever. But that's easily resolved by adding it to a berry flavored juice. My real problem was the condition of the foil packaging bag. It was super shop-worn, with wear and tear that could not have been caused by shipping. It had no expiration date, which is also disturbing. When I spend good money on supplements (none of which are cheap) I at least like to know that what I'm getting is fresh. I won't buy consumable products without an expiration date from a store, so I am suspicious when mail order products come without one, especially in this condition. This appears to have been on the bottom a a large stack, maybe crammed in a shelf corner and passed over hundreds of times, then unloaded on Amazon because no walk-in customer would buy it.
