Enjoying it in brass band

For the price , so far it seems to be a very good instrument. I've had it for S month and have played it regularly and the valves are still working properly and it has a good tone. So far I am happy with it.

I love the item, I didn't come with the mute though.

We have a child who has been renting a beat-up coronet from their school for several years. We also rented it for the summer too. ow that they're going into high school the rental fee has significantly increased, so we decided to purchase this inexpensive coronet instead of taking the plunge and spending $800 for a higher-quality instrument, that they may or not play once they're done with high school. The coronet itself is good quality with no air leaks (unlike the one we've been renting). We had a local music store go through it and the only thing they did was re-align one of the tuning forks that was bent and inoperable. The item shipped immediately (from India) and arrived in a few days (West Coast USA), so we were really impressed with that. The only knock so far is that the finish on the instrument is very low quality and is already starting to peel after using it for just a few weeks (and yes, we take very good care of it). To refinish it would cost north of $400, so it's not worth it. So far we are very happy with it. The company's customer service got back to us quickly with a few questions we had, easing our concerns. I'd recommend giving them a try if you're in a similar circumstance to ours.

Too many problems:

1) The finish began flaking off almost immediately. Even though I've stopped using it I'm still finding bits of nickle, or whatever it is, all over the place. I hope I didn't inhale any of it.

2) The intonation was bad

3) Even after a liberal application of Blue Juice the valves remained sticky.
