Didn't like he fact that I couldn't get the gear changed myself. But once it got changed it works like a new one.
Bitch to switch (as always)

I've been been using these can openers for 30 plus years. I'm not sure I ever was fortunate enough to have a new one. This was to replace the blade in gear on a probably 30 year old electric can opener. The gear came off easily using gooseneck pliers and the blade came off easily with a slotted screwdriver. The can opener works so exceptional that you could actually put a can in push the handle down then grab another can while the can opener is opening the first can by itself and running. I've never had one continue to run when I just push the handle down before. For some reason it does pull the labels off SYSCO pudding cans. But it doesn't bother the labels on the other cans. Go figure.
