The roll was defective.
The more we unrolled the worse it got. We had to cut and piece it togeather. We put in in our crawl space so it was not only difficult but since we had to cut all the defective area off it made for a very extremely difficult task.
The roll became more d6efective as we unrolled it. We are working on a deadline for inspections so had no time to waste. I am asking for a full refund. Doesn't deserve a star.

Have placed on 80% of the attic. Seams to have cooled the attic and lowered my electric bill. Stapled to underside of roof. Line in Houston, will complete in the winter

This is a very good product! I've seen other radiant barriers advertised that their product is tear free only to tear when stapled, by this is so strong that you need to cut it with a knife. You can't tear it with your hands (this is important to keep it up for years to come). You will feel a difference in your attic as soon as you install this product. I'm convinced that this is the single best thing you can do to reduce your air conditioning bills, especially in Texas.

I highly recommend this product. It is best used with new construction, where it is attached prior to the plywood paneling and house wrap, same goes for the roofing. It can be used in already built and attached over the insulation. It helps in keeping the reflective heat and cooling where you want it. I noticed a big difference when I put it in a new roof before the insulation was applied. It kept the hot summer heat out and the heat for winter in. I plan to use some of this in a new constructed tiny home.

While I was putting this up one morning, I could feel the attic roof heating up. Pulled out my laser heat gun thingy, and the roof read 95 degrees. The second I put this up, the attic immediately felt cooler. I laser-heat-measured the back side of this (after it was in place for 30 minutes) and it read 80 degrees. BONUS - the high on this day was only 75 degrees (science?).
Anyways, this stuff is easy to work with and is already making a huge difference to the initial heat load in my attic. Just be sure to make sure there is sufficient room between this product and the roof so the heat can travel upwards to the roof vents. On the corners of the roof, this is especially hard but, if done right, can prove some pretty cheap efficiency gains.
I should note, this product is highly - flammable so I've deducted one star. I'd feel a lot better if the piece of this i tested heat resistance to hadn't burst into flames (I lit it on fire with a lighter outside).
Anyways, this stuff is easy to work with and is already making a huge difference to the initial heat load in my attic.
