Got two of these for a co-worker who rests her elbows on her desk at work and she was getting severe pain in her elbows. Two weeks later the inflammation has cleared up and she's very happy with them. Less than an inch thick, but very soft and firm, they really take the stress off her elbows.
Versatile Comfortable Gel Pad - Okay For Costume Helmet

I bought this Gel Pad to go inside of a costume helmet. It's a bit of an experiment, but so far it's going well. The helmet is heavy resin, this pad really helps lessen the felt weight on the top of my head where most of the weight is focused, making it easier to wear for long periods of time. The adhesive is pretty good but I reinforced it with my own glue to make sure it stays in place.

I love it but it needs to be put far forward and part of it is in the opening in the armrest. It needs some form of skinny but stiff plastic or something to lay down over the hole.

Works well but it's super small for the desired need. I bought this for an agitated tendinitis (golfer's elbow) on the side I use my mouse on for work. This doesn't fit the need at all, unfortunately.

I like it enough. Well designed but needs more cushion. Got this for my office (I lean on one elbow quite a bit). My initial reaction was that it wasn't what I was looking for. However, because of the design I didn't opt to return it. Luckily I didn't because it's now growing on me. If you're looking for mostly cushion in your under wrist or elbow comfort, I would do a bit more research on Amazon (maybe a bean bag pillow offers more of what you're looking for). However, if you like a sturdy cushion, this is perfect for you. Also pleasant to look at, won't ruin your car or office decor.
