I have tried multiple times to use these ketone strips and every time the meter displays the glucose code 45001 instead of the ketone code 75001. I have used other vendors ketone strips but never had this happen before. I initially thought it was the meter. I have called Abbot support and complained about the meter multiple times, I have changed the battery, I have reset everything, and nothing I do with the meter fixes the problem with these strips. My glucose strips work fine in the meter but these do not. I would love for this vendor to help me solve the problem and figure out what is wrong. I just can't use the strips. I've tested at least 10 of them which is half of them and never gotten any other result.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I got an E-3 error message with the first 2 strips ($5+ down the drain). I called Abbott and was told NOT to buy test trips from Amazon. Abbott is having me send them the defective test strips for analysis.

So far have tried and wasted 3 of the 10 strip's using the Precision XTra device for Ketones ... All I get is E-7, or E-3 everytime I try.

Errors out, I poke myself again or my girlfriend, and we both get errors.. How much do you have to bleed to get this thing to work?

These are okay. They seem accurate, but they are pricey and every 4th or 5th strip returns an error (this seem due to not having enough blood, because the device won't begin calculating until enough blood has been absorbed, but I seem to place the same amount of blood every time.

These strips track ketosis with more accuracy than just using the urine strips which can game you to think your ketone levels might be higher than they actually are. Used in combination with the Precision Xtra glucose strips, they can offer great guidance on to the energy mix available to athletes looking to upregulate ketogenic systems during training. My only beef with this is price. I found 33 of these on EBay for about $60--so 50% cheaper.
