This brand is not nearly as smooth as the Prang brand. I purchased both brands at the same time to compare. I did weigh a stick from each brand and they both weighed identically the same .4 ounces.
No pieces were broken in either box in transit being shipped to me, which I was surprised because it's basically like having eggs shipped to you, at your own risk!
The colored box is vibrant and each color stick is accurate. Very nice colored chalk.
This brand definitely does not leave dust like other brands.
The eraser that comes with this set is noticeably better than the current eraser I was using (purchased at hobby lobby). It is also larger which is nice.
This is still great chalk, just not the smooth consistency that I prefer.
