These indeed are much like you find in local pizza shops/eateries... As a matter of fact, the red ones are much like Pizza Hut's old cups (although without Coke printed on them)
I've washed them, and put it through the true test -- letting the kids use them (Kids of ages 3,7, 12, and 17) -- and in the first 48 hours of use, not a single crack, ding dent ...
They feel thick, well made, and came well packaged. Would 100% recommend for anyone who is in the market for plastic replacements for glasses due to children.
Color consistency is on the spot too!

I'm really disappointed with these cups. Out of the package they have sharp burrs around the rim right where your mouth goes. Not good. So make sure you have a Dremel or something similar so you can knock down the burrs. Or you can expect cut lips.

These are not as thick as the cups you would see in a restaurant. Which I expected, because they are restaurant "style" meaning they are the same size and look of restaurant cups. These will be pretty durable, they hold up to top rack dishwashing just fine. I am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Others have mentioned the slightly "sharp" edges and mold mark on the bottom, but I think they've significantly exaggerated them. I don't see any risk of injury here, it's just not as smooth as some might like. If it bothered me, I'd just take a bit of fine-grit sandpaper to the edges, but nobody in my family has complained so I'm content to use them as they are.

I have just recently purchased these cups, so I can't yet comment on how durable they are over the long haul. However, at this price, I can afford to replace them. The quality is much better than anything else I found for around $1 per cup. I was looking for something durable, dishwasher safe and reasonably priced. When I received my first order, I was so pleased that I ordered a second set of clear ones. I also got a set of the colored ones and the colors are very true to the colors in the picture. I highly recommend these cups!
