The jig looks like a great jig
bobFebruary 11, 2017
The jig looks like a great jig, however after I put every thing together I tried to set up my Festool router table for the jig and that is when I discovered that the bushing guide does not fit Festool router tables. A lot of research later, my only option would be to manufacture a new bushing to fit my router table. Save yourself time if you have a festool router table, the RTJ 400 looked like a great jig and I wished it would have worked for me.Sorry I have to return it.
Jig Does What Leigh Says it Does

With a little practice, almost any woodworker can produce beautiful dovetail joinery. I strongly recommend creating several boxes or drawers out of scrap material cut to the same dimensions as your project material to learn how the jig works and to fine tune the settings. Pay close attention to the printed and video instructions. Another bit of advice is that while the joints should be snug with no gaps, they should not be overly tight at risk of breaking a pin on dry fitting and glue up.
