Individual bags are the way to go...
z•December 25, 2017
Edit: I downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 3. The crackers are wonderful - while they are fresh (which of course should be obvious). However, you may not have as much time to get through a box before they go stale as you might have hoped. I ordered a box of crackers 4 months ago, we ate some right away and they were good. Today (4 months later) we broke open several more packages. They were stale - not-worth-eating kind of stale. I was hoping we would have more than 4 months to get through a full box since they are in individual packages. The best buy date is listed as 2 1/2 months from today but I am throwing them out immediately. So the hope was that we would have at least 6 months to enjoy these - from the time we received them until the best buy date, but no such luck. It is a shame and a big waste.
Are there less expensive oyster crackers out there? Certainly; but the brand my local store carries is not as tasty and 3/4 goes to waste because we cannot get through the bag before it goes stale. Not only are these individual bags perfect for our needs but the crackers have a nice light texture and are great tasting to boot.

Oyster Crackers made "they way they used to"!
Laurie•May 25, 2017
Husband complained constantly about how "no one makes oyster crackers the way they used to" (the ones we purchased at the local supermarket seemed to dissolve into soup rather quickly). A seafood restaurant in Los Angeles provided a package of these with my soup so I saved it for him. He happily proclaimed that these ARE like the ones he remembered as a child: they get a bit softer but retain form and substance after floating in his soup for a while. I was delighted to find these on amazon and ordered a box. He is now happily oyster-crackered for a few months, after which we will order more.
Fresh crackers at hand.

Finally, fresh crackers in the house all the time.
These don't have preservatives so they have a shelf life of about 3 months but even if half of them go to waste, it's still a good deal at the current pricing as of March 2017 even compared to buying bulk bags at the local grocery store..

VERY FRESH/ECONOMICAL

VERY FRESH. LONG EXPIRATION DATE. I CHOSE THESE SMALL PACKS BECAUSE EVERY TIME I GET CRACKERS THEY GO STALE! NOW I CAN HAVE ONE OR TWO BAGS AT A TIME W/O THE REST GOING STALE. VERY TASTY & CRUNCHY. GOOD PRICE. FAST SHIPPING. I RECOMMEND.
the best oyster and soup crackers that I've ever tasted
tazshaw•January 15, 2017
These are, quite simply, the best oyster and soup crackers that I've ever tasted. The usual "Premium" are just fine but if you want the best, at least that I've ever had, then here they are and I've lately realized that these little crackers are great with everything (as are croutons but ...).
