Our younger two boys, ages 6 and 9, fell in love with the patriots this season (don't ask, I have no idea, we're from the midwest and have very little connection to the east coast). These were "Santa" presents and the boys went crazy when they saw them. They then proceeded to wear the helmets anytime a football game was on TV. The shirts and pants are nice quality. The shirts are a mesh-type fabric. The helmets are plastic with a small amount of foam cushioning. As the warning says, these are not true football helmets and shouldn't be used in a true, heavy hitting game. We also bought a flag football set for the boys at the same time.

The iron-on numbers were very easy to put on and took a total of about 15 minutes. The clothes (and numbers) have stood up well in the wash.

The only concern I have is that one of the uniforms shipped without a chin strap. I'm glad I checked. Amazon was great in providing a new order immediately, but word to the wise -- order early enough that you can get a replacement if necessary. I would definitely order these again.

Had to revise my review. When I first received this item it was packaged and displayed nicely in a NY giants box. When I ordered a new size it was without a box, all items just thrown into a brown amazon box, as if it was used. Disappointed and considering returning!!!

Very cute set. Good quality helmet and uniform, iron on numbers a plus. However runs very small! Bought a medium says ages 7-9. I would say more like 2-4 years old. Had to return and will order a large.

I was worried it was going to be to small. I read all the reviews and I couldn't find anyone that was close to my daughters size so I took a chance. Worse case its only one day. I got an XLG my daughter is 12, 140lb, 5'4" and to my surprise she fit it. The pants are a little tight bit she wears the jersey off and one on the weekends she loves it. They really need to make more sporty type things for older girls. My daughters not small or girly and she just made the basketball team. She loves sports.

The small size fit my 1st grader well, with plenty of room to spare. It was nice because he could wear some fleece pants and a sweatshirt underneath for warmth. I'd say he's slightly above avg height and a bit below avg weight. The iron on numbers were a hit. The helmet is surprisingly durable and decent quality; nothing like the disposable garbage they had for this sort of thing when i was a kid! :) Very pleased and my boy still likes to get dressed up and run around in it.

My near 6 year old really wanted to be a Denver Broncos player. He's a bit smaller (not shrimpy though) than most of his peers so I ordered the small size. It is still a bit too large for him, but he's all smiles and that's all that matters! This is a great costume and the numbers were large and ironed on easily, and the helmet is padded well albeit a bit too large (covers his eyes). But the jersey and pants don't feel cheap...I think they'll last awhile and I'd recommend this!
