Pump for Touring.
Ian Norrish•June 29, 2017
I purchased this pump for my touring bike, rather than rely on the cartridges on long trips.
The pump mounts beside the pedal easily, plus looks tidy and attractive there. Haven't had to use it much so far, but it seems to work well, particularly in the "shorter stroke " mode, on my 27" tires at 70 PSI.

Super Sweet Little Pump!

This pump has 2 stages of pumping (which I was unaware of when I bought it). For fast inflation, you unlock the collar on the pump and the pump extends much further; twice as far I believe. This allows much more air per pump. Once you get to a higher pressure, you lock the collar back down and then pump with shorter strokes.
I've tested it on my bike before a ride and it works well. This is not a replacement for your full-size pump, but seems like it'll be great when needed on the road!

I'm super pumped about it.

This is a great pump. Had it for a couple weeks now. I bought a bike from my coworker who just had it sitting in the office for a year ad the tired were flat AF. This little guy was easy to use, came with a standard mount so I was able to attach it to the bike and now it goes with me everywhere. I think the valves on the bike had some dust or buildup causing minor leaks (or, something.. I dunno) so I had to keep refilling the tires, but after a few refills, the tires seem to be holding up. Very convenient to have this pump. Works well, easy to use, I've used it for mine (schrader) and my girlfriend's (priests) tired and it works perfectly for both. It also has an extender which I'm sure is useful in situations which I have yet to encounter, but it's good to know I have it. The mount has this sweet little notch that holds onto the pump's handle so it doesn't randomly extend while I'm riding, so that's a nifty little feature.
Quality seems good, requires a lot of effort

Works as it should, but the short length requires a lot of effort to pump something up. I bought a great 12-14" pump about 30 years ago that fit right along the frame below the seat that had a nice long stroke that made quick work of pumping tires. Got destroyed 15 years ago and have never found a good quality replacement. Doesn't come with any instructions whatsoever so it took a while to figure how it was supposed to be attached to bike frame. You need to use the velcro strap because it pops out of the clip easily.
Like that this works with both valve types, although I only have Schrader valves. Nice to have patches also, but they're just stick on types that I've found don't work well. What happened to patches where the glue bonded it permanently to the tube? Can't seem to buy those anymore.

i thought it was going to be good based on the reviews

it worked while I used it.. however, yesterday when I was out on a trail, i tried to pump up my flat and the pump broke. the lever you use to pump just completely fell out. i thought it was going to be good based on the reviews.. it worked well when I used it.. but after having it for less than 30 days.. it fell apart..
