I did not secure this well, and placed it around the the door knob. My son was working out with it, and pulled the grips toward him...the whole end device came flying at him (user error). Crisis averted when the metal attachment at the end struck & skinned my son's nose - fortunately not his eye causing damage. It seems great, but be smart about what you hook the thing to.
