But, if you want excellent phone gripping materials that will last, then buy the $5.81 anti slip "GRiPhone Narrow" strips (shipped from Japan)(non prime item - 3 to 4 week delivery wait period). They work great, and was well worth the wait. After testing the first order, I placed a second order, to use on different slippery items around the house. It is an excellent product.

AGAIN, stay away from "egrips'" garbage.

UPDATE 1 (one day later; dropped rating from 4 stars to 1 star): The item provided an excellent grip on my Galaxy S8 for about 3 to 4 hours, then the gripping ability ceased. The tiny knobby area (that which provides the gripping capabilities with your hand) went flat, and became very slick and slippery. Then the thin layer of tape, which covers the rubber strips, peeled off. Thus leaving a very slippery piece of useless rubber. What a terrible product.

Best phone anti slip grips out there. But, overpriced ($13.95). Should be $8 prime or less. They provide an excellent grip on your phone. No more worries about dropping your slippery $800 phone or phone case anymore.

I tried several anti slip items and tapes. This is by far the best out there for your phone and portable power banks. (Hence the overpricing)

First the good, it is sticky. Unfortunately, the seller's description is not as accurate as it should have been. I purchased this item to help me deal with the very slippery nature of the mophie battery case for the iPhone 6s Plus. The case is extremely slippery and I figured a product such as this, was available. I read reviews of various items and decided to trust the egrip. Since my case is a battery case, it comes in 2 parts and therefore I had to cut this item. Instructions said it is easy to cut, easy to apply, blah blah blah. See pictures below. Again, if you are buying this to stick on the back of your phone, you have my general blessing to give it the "ole college try," but if pictures say 1000 words, see below and decided for yourself. For $14, at the least, I would have expected 2 films and a better type of application process as well as better directions.

One of these is sufficient to keep my S7 Edge from sliding around. Perfect fit....placed it right where my hand usually rests holding the phone. Good grippy feel. When I set the phone face up on the arm of my leather rocker/recliner, it doesn't budge. Doesn't slide off my car console now. Easily removed without residue. I've added one of these to each of my 3 cases. Works equally well with a naked phone. I've used this brand on previous phones and they stayed clear, didn't yellow.

Tried one that covered the entire back but found it was overkill. This size works better for me. Recommend.

Only after buying a Dell Inspiron 15z laptop off the internet without actually seeing one firsthand did I discover that the substantial metal construction meant excess weight. Within a few months I had dropped it on a concrete driveway lifting it out of my backpack. The combination of heavy weight, slick metallic laptop surfaces and a dry hand pretty much guaranteed it. This damaged the screen such that if I wamted to see/view it, I folded up a business card, crammed it in the crack between rhe keyboard section and the screen, and adjusted the angle of the screen just right. Then the screen would appear ok. Otherwise it would go blank like the laptop was off. The laptop itself was continuously on. However the screen would eventually start flickering and then go off until I could once again find the exact position/angle to reset it at. Eventually paid somewhere between. $300 - $400 to have Dell service repair it. Since applying and using egrips there has been no problems holding the laptop securely.

Buy the egrips.

I've never been a fan of iPhone cases. Yes, I'll admit my phone is more susceptible to damage if I drop it without a case, but to me if I'm going to invest in a great piece of sleek, beautiful technology, last thing I want to do it cover it up and make it bulky. However, for as much of a fan I am of the iPhone, these things are slick as snot! I wanted a solution that would not cover up the phone but would give me a little extra grip. These anti slip skins are PERFECT!

A few concerns I had going in: Would they be too grippy? Would taking it in and out of a pocket cause it to snag, wear off, or making it more difficult? And what about durability? Here's what I found:

The 'level' of grip is just a perfect balance between supplying more grip while not sticking itself to everything! When holding my iPhone 6s+ in my hand, one handed operation is a breeze as the phone grips to my palm with plenty of tackiness. Even 2 handed use is so much easier now and the phone stays perfect stationary in my hand. And yet putting it in my pocket, whether it's my coat pocket, front or back pocket of jeans, or anything else it's still just as easy to take it out and put it in as it was before I installed the Egrip. It's exactly what I was hoping for. I've been using this for about 3 months now, and the grip is showing no signs of wearing off as well. When installed, there is about 1/8 of an inch between the edge of the phone and the sides of the grip, so it's virtually impossible to snag the edge on anything. Plus they're very sticky so it's not coming off any time soon. There is very little wear showing on the grip surface as well. It may wear down someday, but I have a feeling I'll be upgrading my phone before this wears out!

They do come off if desired though. My first set of eGrips was the smaller patches that I installed on the back of my phone, however I didn't like the feel of having the grips on part of the phone and not the rest, make it awkward to use. So I decided to get the full backing skin which was a much better choice. Taking off the old eGrip was possible, but took some patience. After I removed the grip, a little rubbing alcohol and all the glue residue came right off. So if you're concerned about the day you decide to remove this, don't worry, they will definitely come off.

Overall this is the perfect solution for me and I couldn't be happier. It makes my phone so much easier to use, is super sleek and minimalist while adding that additional grip. It's durable, easy to install, and yet won't cause any issues with taking it in and out of pockets. Highly recommended. I also picked up the iPhone 6s version for my wife's phone and she loves it as well. I'll be posting the same review on that product.
