The pencils themselves are really nice. They will last me a long time. However, the erasers are of a low quality. They are pretty loose in their fittings, but not so loose as to fall out. I find that when using mechanical pencils that their life cycle is determined by the eraser, and these erasers are not of the same caliber as the pencil itself.
Oh, the erasers also sparkle. They do not shed the glitter onto anything, as far as I can tell.

These pens are great and my son loves them. They are bigger than the normal ones and the erasers last longer than the smaller ones. Also they last a long time. I highly recommend buying these mechanical pencils.
