Excellent
Cuts through a lot of hard stuff and keeps on going. Need to make a guide as it does not have a pilot.

Granite, concrete backer board, more granite and more concrete backer board and this hole cutter is still going strong. Key thing is to not allow the cutter to get too hot as you may loose the diamonds. Great saw for the money. It does not have a pilot hole so you will need to make a guide of some sort to get the cut started. I use a regular hole cutter to make a hole through a piece of MDF to use as a guide. Works great. Need to know what you are doing. I even use it to cut through a piece of galvanized steel header beam (commercial construction) to run my PVC pipe internal to a wall for a waterfall. All in all, this was worth every penny. I have one more water fall to do but won't need to buy another hole saw for the work.
Not for serious work

I got a 2" for some small brick work. It worked great with no water lubrication. For the price, I'm not concerned with ruining it, but it seems like it held up really well. I also got a 1 1/2" one for some masonry work on Lapis. It needed lubrication badly and even with a constant flow of water, it wasn't well suited for the job but it worked.
Works as advertised.

I made a dam/guide out of a piece of wood and some plummets putty. The drill bit made some beautiful holes in my 1/4 inch thick porcelain tiles.
