Seal broke on its own while sitting on shelf

The seal popped as it sat on my pantry shelf. Still has the cellophane with perforations on the lid unbroken. It then proceeded to ooze out of the jar and ruin my pantry shelf. As you can see in the photo the plastic is still around the lid but the pressure seal has popped and the contents have leaked out and ruined my shelf, it won't come off. $7-$8 mustard that I can't use and a sticky pantry shelf, not a good deal. Don't think I'll be buying grocery items here anymore.
